If you can't make any of these classes, but are interested in doing art with me I will be teaching the Maple Grove Lutheran Church art camp July 11-14.  Here is a link:  http://www.mglc.org/pages/Children/
The theme will be the same and some of the projects are similar, but not the same. We have the ability to do messier projects at my house ;-)

Price listed is for each day.  This year I've tried to space classes so if you have both younger and older children the classes are next to each other to hopefully make it easier for pick up and drop off.  See FAQ's below for more info.

30 MINUTE LESSONS 9-9:30, 12-12:30 $5
Ages 3-6 (18mo-3 if a caregiver stays)
Each day in this class we will be reading a coordinating Eric Carle book before creating.  These projects are for anyone who would like to concentrate for 30 minutes on one fine motor skills project instead of a longer amount of time.  We will be drawing, painting, gluing, cutting, and coloring.  These projects are different from the 45 minute class so if your older children are crazy about creating feel free to sign them up for both.

JULY 19 or 27  Worms on sticks and coffee filter butterflies
JULY 20 or 28  Egg carton spiders and webs on a stick

JULY 19 or 27  Scientific drawings of bugs

JULY 21 or 29  Paper mache bugs (finish), "batik" style bugs (paint, oil pastels, and paper)
JULY 22 or 25  Scratch art zentangle bugs

TEEN CLASS 3:30-4:30 (M-Th), (Tu only, stop in anytime between 7-9) $10
Ages 13+
This class is designed to be a little more like open studio time.  Teens will have access to supplies I have on hand including projects from the previous classes that day.  I will be available to give assistance and answer questions if needed.
I will also have additional projects I'm willing to give instructions on if there is interest: Bead and wire bug sculpture, printmaking, or book art.  If interested in these please specify so I have enough supplies.

ART SHOW  6-8PM
July 29 or Aug 1 (I haven't decided yet & am open to suggestion of majority)
I usually hang on to the students art work until the art show and set it up for display.  This is very fun for the students to see how great their art work looks when displayed.  We usually also have light refreshments and the kids have fun playing in my yard after touring the show.  It is "open house" style so you can come anytime during the show and take home your art when you are ready to leave.

REGISTRATION will be open until classes fill.

FAQ's

How and when do I pay?
Payments can be made when you come to class.  I will accept cash or checks.  You can pay each day at a time or for all days at once.

Do we need to bring anything?
All supplies will be provided for all classes.  I do have paint shirts, but if anyone prefers one you already own please wear it and/or wear clothes that you don't mind getting stained or messy.  We will most likely get messy.  :-)

How many students are in a class?
The max number of students for each class is 6.  If your child is the only one signed up for a time slot I might ask if you'd like to sign up for a different time.

Can I stay and watch or read a book? OR Can I drop off and run errands?
You are welcome to stay and watch, read a book on my porch swing, join your child for lessons, or just drop off (unless child 3 or younger or a child with separation anxiety, then a care giver will need to stay).  I am close to the library and shopping so it is convenient to do some quick errands.

Do you have an adult class?
Currently I do not have any adult specific classes.  I am considering some in the future.  Please feel free to sign up for any of the above classes during the summer.  Don't worry, kids are nice and not intimidating.  If you are a beginner it might be the perfect environment and if you are an expert I can't wait to see how you take these projects to the next level ;-).
